When we got called to capture Micha and Lee’s special gothic wedding, we started counting the days from the moment we put the phone down. However, we didn’t expect we would be this surprised! The couple brushed off traditions and planned one of the greatest gothic weddings we’ve ever seen. Prepare yourself – you’re in for quite the treat.
A Unique Gothic Wedding Celebration
Before we go into the details of this gothic wedding, allow us to share a few words about their beautiful ceremony space. Morpeth Town Hall has a picturesque view; the registrars were ultra hospitable and professional. The Town Hall has two beautiful ceremony rooms available for the special day. Both of them are on the ground floor for easier access and are adorned with light and airy styles perfect for photography.
We met the couple in the morning. Micha looked ravishing in the black gown, while the handsome Lee looked equally dapper in a sharp black suit. Just taking a look at their attire, a flood of goth wedding ideas is bound to come your way! As the ceremony began, all guests anticipated the couple’s arrival. Micha was delighted as she walked down with her bridesmaid to meet the love of her life. The couple exchanged vows and shared a passionate kiss. Shortly after the ceremony, we took photos of the couple. In the meantime, the guests were ushered towards the reception venue. However, the ceremony’s highlight was the couple’s respect toward their elders, with framed photographs placed on the chair in the front row.
Fun Wedding Reception at Waterford Lodge Hotel
The couple opted for Halloween-themed wedding decor, such as skeleton faces, accompanied by black roses and candles. The matte black contrasted the linens and menus with rich colours, which look elegant but spooky at the same time. The style for this gothic wedding also suited the rustic countryside feel, resulting in all-around dramatic elegance. Afterwards, toasts followed the evening celebration, which resulted in images that were nothing short of perfect.
