Alex and Devon’s Halloween-themed wedding took us by surprise, as celebrations such as these don’t come around too often. Even though it was spooky, romance was all around us, resulting in a celebration for the books. Stick with us – this wedding will surely pluck an inspirational chord.
Spooky Halloween-themed Wedding Celebration
We met Alex and Devon, who looked gorgeous in their bridal gowns, and their guests on the morning of their Ufton Court wedding. The venue is a quintessential barn surrounded by lush fields and woodland. Given that the couple loved Halloween, the preparations had to be made accordingly. Everything was planned thoughtfully: the unique decor signs, custom cards, and dripping images fit in perfectly with their Halloween-themed wedding.
Everyone was cheering out and anticipating the ceremony. Even the guests followed the dress code, with hilarious and beautiful costumes enriched with scary make-up. Afterwards, both the girls and newlyweds exchanged vows and shared kisses. The two were smiling all day, which was a treat for us Reading wedding photographers!
The Fun Ride
After the ceremony, it rained briefly, so we moved indoors, where the couple hosted a reception with a magical and light-hearted celebration with black and orange pumpkins, pretty rustic decor, dark smoke, lanterns, and many scary pictures. The reception involved toasts, cake cutting, and a lot of emotions. It was indeed a Ufton Court wedding to remember!
Not every photographer is lucky to shoot a Halloween-themed wedding, and we are honoured that we had the chance. It was a memorable day; we will have fond memories from this shoot. We recommend this cosy and comfortable venue for a small and intimate wedding.
