As UK wedding photographers, we always get to capture breathtaking couples, but Dilshan and Genesis really stood out. They are an incredibly fun couple that doesn’t shy away from showing their love. So, you can imagine how lucky we felt to have photographed their magnificent York House wedding at the 17th-century building amidst adorable gardens!
A York House Wedding Ceremony
On the summer wedding morning, we met the couple at the venue. Genesis looked gorgeous in a simple, elegant slit gown with nicely parted hair and uniquely designed braid and floral hairpiece. Meanwhile, Dilshan looked handsome and nicely suited in a three-piece suit. We had enough time before the ceremony. Therefore, we captured Dilshan and Genesis’ intimate portraits in different parts of the venue.
When it was time for the York House wedding ceremony to begin, family and friends sat at the sides of the aisle. Genesis walked down the aisle with a family member in the lovely Loggia room. Then, the couple exchanged their vows and rings and signed the marriage documents. Afterwards, they were blessed and congratulated by everyone in the room. Soon, they made their way out as newlyweds to the gardens for the ultimate confetti shower, group shots and portraits.
As UK wedding photographers, we are often in awe of greenery and natural elements in portraits, and York House has it in abundance. After the group shots, guests started making their way to The Ivy Cafe’s reception venue. In the meantime, we wandered through the garden for romantic portraits.
However, we have to mention one of our favourite moments of the York House wedding. It was definitely capturing the couple across the venue’s land, standing on bridges and venturing whimsical gardens. The picturesque backdrops made for some of the most beautiful shots we have ever taken.
The After-Celebrations
After the portraits, we reached The Ivy Cafe, a charming restaurant with bright decor and private dining rooms. Then we proceeded to the cake cutting and captured some of the priceless, genuine emotions.
