Today, we share one of the most unique celebrations from our archives, the love story of a gorgeous and elegant couple – Anna and John. The couple’s wedding at Lincoln Cathedral and Stubton Hall was the definition of tradition and class. What made their day unique and different from others was the fact that it was a military wedding! When the couple chose us for their special day, we were eager to learn their plans and vision.

Lincoln Cathedral

The Relaxed Wedding Morning

We arrived early to capture the preparations in the bridal suite. Anna was constantly smiling and radiating with happiness. It was lovely capturing her getting ready while her mom helped her out. But when she got into her one-shoulder gown bridal dress, she left the room speechless. We loved her gown’s unique, symmetrical style that gave her a princess look, while the long veil made her style absolutely marvellous. When her father saw her, he couldn’t resist his emotions, which made for some excellent photos. Afterwards, we continued towards Lincoln Cathedral.

The Lincoln Cathedral Ceremony

Anna and John’s military wedding ceremony took place in the Lincoln Cathedral in the presence of their family and friends. Thanks to the enormous and magnificent architecture, the scenery was nothing short of spectacular.

John’s arrival in the RAF uniform was more than enough to create the best wedding photos. Afterwards, they were pronounced husband and wife as they exchanged vows and professed their love for each other. Finally, they exited the Lincoln Cathedral amidst cheers and blessings from their loved ones.

However, the most beautiful part of the day was nearly here. As the newlyweds exited the cathedral, John’s colleagues performed a Guards of Honour ceremony followed by a confetti shower. We took a few formal couple’s photos along with the guards in front of the Cathedral, which were really impressive.

Stubton Hall Celebrations

The next set of afternoon and evening celebrations took place at one magnificent venue – the reception at Stubton Hall. All guests went outside for the cocktail hour with live music, delicious snacks, and drinks for everyone to enjoy. Taking this moment, we sneaked out with the couple for a few intimate portraits in the gardens across. The lushness and soaring trees gave us some of the most surreal moments in the perfect golden hour moment.

As we arrived, the couple was warmly greeted by their guests. Naturally, everyone wanted to extend their love and well wishes! As for the interiors, they looked fantastic, with lots of foliage and seasonal flowers. Once the speeches and cake-cutting were out of the way, it was time for the most awaited part of the evening – the couple’s first dance as newlyweds. The dance floor looked perfect, and a huge banner displayed Mr and Mrs Bond! The evening also invited some of the most amazing live performers who truly ruled the evening with the amazing numbers they performed. Overall, the day was beautiful, with many priceless moments.

We can safely say that this wedding at Lincoln Cathedral and Stubton Hall made us fall in love with unique celebrations all over again!
