Oran Mor wedding photography and film
Oran Mor is a stunning converted church venue in Glasgow's West End, featuring breathtaking ceiling murals, grand architecture, and a vibrant atmosphere. The dramatic interiors and artistic setting create a truly unique backdrop for wedding films that feel bold, colourful, and full of energy.
We absolutely love filming at Oran Mor. The converted church architecture gives us so much to work with, and those incredible ceiling murals painted by Alasdair Gray add a layer of colour and drama you simply won't find anywhere else in Glasgow. It's a venue that practically directs itself.
Getting to Oran Mor
Oran Mor sits at the top of Byres Road in Glasgow's West End, right beside Hillhead subway station, which is your easiest option if you're coming from the city centre. If you're arriving by train, Glasgow Queen Street and Glasgow Central are both around 20 minutes away by subway or taxi. Glasgow Airport is the nearest, roughly 8 miles west of the venue. A taxi from the airport takes about 20 minutes depending on traffic. Parking nearby is limited, so we'd recommend using one of the NCP car parks on Byres Road or leaving the car at your hotel. The West End gets busy, especially on weekends. For the evening, pre-book your taxi home. Companies like Glasgow Taxis are reliable, but demand gets high later on, so sort this before the night gets going.
