Amy and Richard’s North Devon wedding at the Sandy Cove Hotel was nothing short of spectacular! While being incredibly modern, they opted for some traditional elements, making their big day twice as special. With a traditional wedding tea ceremony and a heartwarming reception, this celebration was a delight to capture!
The Charming Ceremony
The Sandy Cove Hotel provided the ultimate setting for the wedding ceremony. Amy and Richard tied the knot amid breathtaking lakeside views. Even though the weather was cloudy, it offered a perfect dramatic touch for their wedding photos. Additionally, the guests brightened up the atmosphere with their smiles, as they couldn’t be happier for the newlyweds. Before the festivities began, we took the time to capture the reception space and some details while Richard and Amy were preparing for the second ceremony of the day.
A Traditional Wedding Tea Ceremony
Richard and Amy wanted to honour their roots, so they had a wedding tea ceremony with their parents. The couple wore matching red attire with intricate embroidery that matched perfectly with the Sandy Cove Hotel’s setting. Meanwhile, the guests mingled during cocktail hour, took Polaroids for the couple, and signed their guest book. Everyone wanted to share the love!

Once the newlyweds stepped into the Sandy Cove Hotel’s reception space, the celebration was in full force. The guests were cheering on Richard and Amy, and they happily threw a million smiles for our camera. Also, we heard some touching speeches and felt the high spirits on the dance floor. Simply put, this North Devon wedding is one for the books!
