Today’s captivating wedding tale revolves around the unique couple Isabella and Craig and their Scottish wedding, held at the picturesque Half Moon in Hampshire. Therefore, when the couple approached us with their choice of venue, we were very excited. As professional UK wedding photographers, it’s always a privilege to revisit familiar grounds and capture new, unique moments. The gathering was a blend of grandeur and fun-filled moments.

The Fun Wedding Morning

The Half Moon wedding venue is a picturesque countryside pub and restaurant in the heart of Hampshire. As you enter the venue, you explore the captivating lawns with lush green spaces. The walkways are well-manicured, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. We knew we were in for an incredible Scottish wedding when we arrived and saw the venue and how everything was organised. Additionally, the Hampshire wedding venue offers a luxurious ambience with stunning backdrops, and the cream and golden background creates warm settings.

Meanwhile, the guests chatted and waited for the big moment to arrive. Then, shortly after, Isabella walked down the aisle with her father and was radiating with happiness. She looked absolutely breathtaking in her elegant white gown with a beautiful neckline and a lovely tiara. Craig was wearing a unique and traditional plaid kilt, tartan Scottish attire, and a black coat to complete his look.

The ceremony was short and sweet, and as it concluded, the newlyweds moved out and were showered with flowers. It was accompanied by bagpiper music that complimented the settings so well. The Hampshire wedding venue had everything, including a wonderful courtyard and gardens set within the scenic fields. It is something that we, as UK wedding photographers, really treasure and appreciate. We had a splendid backdrop to work around with a few intimate and group portraits.

The Scottish Wedding Reception – Where the Fun Continues

We returned to the Half Moon wedding venue with the couple and took advantage of the unique photo spots. There was an amazing corner where we took memorable photographs of the family members. However, we must not forget the multi-tiered cake with the lovely combo of pink, blue and yellow with the tag Mr & Mrs. And, of course, everyone enjoyed the opener – traditional Scottish bagpipe music to accompany their new beginnings! Then, there were many emotional and fun speeches after the evening. Finally, it came the most awaited part of the evening, the first dance of the gorgeous couple as the newlyweds.

An important fun highlight of the evening was the photo op corner with white roses at the backdrop. Here, the guests could get themselves clicked using the funny props, including colourful caps, animal masks and funny glasses. While the guests were having fun, they were also treated to delicious doughnuts, sweets and drinks. Overall, the atmosphere was joyful, and we really enjoyed photographing the fun and wonderful moments. Isabella and Craig’s Scottish wedding at the Half Moon was definitely a gorgeous day to remember!
