Grace and Luke, our favourite couple, are celebrating their new beginnings in a small wedding ceremony at the St. Albans Registry Office. As UK wedding photographers, we have experience with the location and its capability for magnificent photos. So, it is always a pleasure to be back here and capture the unfolding of amazing love stories. It has a striking gatehouse set within the lovely rose garden, where we capture some of the most picturesque and stunning portraits.
A Relaxed Wedding Morning
The couple were getting ready for their upcoming heartwarming small wedding in separate suites. Grace & Luke’s small wedding was special for many reasons, like the presence of their cute, handsome son, who was part of all the proceedings. Also, from the photographs, you can notice the wedding had other special guests, their two furry friends, who were also part of the preparation. Therefore, the room was full of laughter and fun, and we captured some of the most genuine emotions of the couple, especially with their loved ones.
Moreover, Grace looked gorgeous in an off-shoulder, body-fitted gown and with nicely tied hair. At the same time, the groom, Luke, looked equally dapper in a velvet dark green suit.
A Memorable Small Wedding Ceremony
With the preparations finished, everyone was waiting for the small wedding ceremony at the registry office to begin. Luke was excited to see his bride walking down the aisle with her mother. Afterwards, in the presence of their parents and family members, the couple made their wedding vows and exchanged rings. It was a lovely ceremony surrounded by close family members who were overjoyed to see Luke & Grace making new beginnings.
After the small wedding ceremony, we all headed for the confetti and group photos. At this moment, we are constantly taking photos of the gatehouse doors, which make a striking backdrop for portraits. Even though the garden at the Registry Office is compact, we utilised it creatively to create a varied set of gorgeous images.
Endless Celebration at the Marchmont Arms
Following the ceremony at the Registry Office, we all moved to Marchmont Arms, a Hertfordshire wedding venue, where the evening celebrations were planned. While the guests enjoyed the cocktails, we snuck off for some lovely portraits of the couple and made it back in time before the actual celebrations kicked in. The Marchmont Arms is a cosy pub with perfect settings for a small wedding. It offers an exceptional dining experience where you can sit back, relax and have endless fun.
Then came the most favourite part of the evening, the newlyweds’ first dance. The couple looked phenomenal as they danced, and all their family and friends joined them later. As photographers, we loved capturing all the emotions, the speeches, dances, and toasts.
This intimate wedding had a lovely ceremony, confetti, and a handful of lovely and fun group portraits in and around the venue. It was a pure treat to photograph it!
