Although there are countless awe-inspiring Yorkshire wedding venues, there’s none like The Priests House. This historic establishment stood the test of time. The venue is located in the ruins of Barden Tower, offering amazing views of the surrounding valley and hills. In addition to the historical allure, what makes this wedding venue in Skipton truly spectacular are some of its original features. They have been preserved and restored, such as the dark oak beamed ceilings, panned windows, and real log fires. Because of these features, Cristina and Samir decided to host their July wedding at this dreamy location.
Moments Leading To The Big Day
Because The Priests House has dedicated getting-ready rooms, Christina and Samir took the time to perfect their looks, eager for what’s to come next. Amid all of these preparations, the bride and her gals stepped out on the estate’s grounds to take a few pictures with her gals, who have been by her side since day one. As she returned to put the finishing touches, we went to the ceremony space of this Yorkshire wedding venue to capture some of the details that made the setting romantic and whimsical. The rustic elements were quite the treat!
A Charming Ceremony
As everyone gathered, Samir couldn’t wait to see his beloved bride walk down the aisle. Soon enough, there she was, looking radiant as ever, walking hand-in-hand with her dad. After their touching “I do’s”, the newlyweds stepped outside and were showered with confetti by their party. After that, they took the time to have some romantic portraits taken. They even had some unexpected guests at their countryside wedding – a family of ducks! Naturally, Christina couldn’t resist feeding them, making up for an adorable photo op.
The Romantic Reception
Just like the ceremony, the reception took place at The Priests House. The decorations were the definition of rustic elegance, fitting perfectly with the settings of this historic wedding venue in Skipton. The cake also gave off lovely cottage-core vibes, contributing to the fairytale theme! The reception began with a couple of passionate speeches by the wedding party. It was followed by the most romantic first dance between the newlyweds. It’s evident from the pictures that everyone had a splendid time at this countryside wedding, and it was such a pleasure being a part of it!
