Tucked away in Ruthven Lane in Glasgow, The Scullery is a private dining room in The Bothy, a Scottish bolthole. The venue is renowned for its culinary delights, prepared with seasonal Scottish produce and much love and dedication. While there are plenty of gorgeous wedding locations in Glasgow, Chris and Margaret believed this intimate corner of The Bothy was the perfect place for their intimate affair. Oh, and brace yourselves, this is probably the most iconic wedding you’ve ever seen!
A Lovely Atmosphere
On the day of Chris and Margaret’s Glasgow wedding, The Scullery looked like it was picked straight out of a fairytale. It was adorned with lush greenery, elegant white flowers, and candles. Moreover, the yellow lights added a magical touch to the venue. Let’s not forget the food arrangements – they looked wonderful, too!
Crowning Love
The couple got married in The Scullery’s private room in a very intimate ceremony. In essence, it was only their closest friends and family. They exchanged vows and rings and had their hands bound together in a traditional Scottish handfasting ceremony. After the ceremony, the bride and groom took plenty of pictures with all the wedding guests. Truth be told, it was so special and meaningful that we couldn’t resist taking many pictures!
Private Celebrations
Of course, the end of the ceremony meant that the couple was free to take some lovely pictures. Naturally, this is a treat for us Glasgow wedding photographers! They stepped outside The Sucullery and used the cobblestoned street as a romantic backdrop for their spectacular images. Once Chris and Margaret were done with the photo session, they stepped back inside. Following, the couple rejoined their guests and continued with the festivities. Lastly, the reception dinner was accompanied by bagpipe music, and everyone was in a good mood during the entire Glasgow wedding celebration.
