The love story we are sharing today is of a very lovely and sweet couple – Madalina and Stephen. The two decided to put a crown on their love in the Woodman Inn. As UK wedding photographers, we love this elegant wedding venue. It is a beautiful 18th-century venue in Thunderbridge. The best part about the location is its scenic setting and, more importantly, that it is close to everything you would need on your special day. So, during the discussions, we were delighted with the idea of being back here again when we were informed of the venue.
Getting Ready
The Woodman Inn and its 3 lovely cottages with living areas and bedrooms provide ample space for people to get ready. We arrived early and took the opportunity to capture beautiful details. However, the venue’s beauty and surrounding areas were astonishing as well. The couple’s brilliant imagination and gorgeous elements were perfect pictures of the special day. From the signing pen to the cute lantern and even the cake topper, everything was looking sweet with the message: Mr & Mrs Goldthorpe. Meanwhile, Madalina was getting ready in her slim strap gown with fine intricate details and an amazing veil. On the other hand, the handsome groom was nothing short of stunning, wearing a dashing three-piece grey suit. At the same time, there was an air of excitement as everyone was getting ready for the big day ahead. After capturing a few group photos, the ceremony was the next step.
A Heartfelt Wedding Ceremony
All the guests sitting and waiting for the elegant wedding to start was such a nice view. Then Madalina came down the aisle with her father to join Stephen, who had eagerly awaited. The romantic UK wedding ceremony was simple and sweet.
Afterward, the newlyweds joined their family and friends for the cocktail hour. Then, it was time to mingle with family and friends. While they were chatting and enjoying snacks, we took a few intimate portraits of the couple. The gardens were amazing and worked well for the intimate photos.
There are other picturesque spots in the Woodman Inn, too, just a short walk away. Madalina and Stephan were so natural and comfortable that we got some priceless photos from the day.

After the formal family photos and intimate portraits in the Woodman Inn garden room, it was time for the speeches, cake cutting, and wedding breakfast. The evening kicked off with the newlyweds’ first dance before everyone piled on the floor for endless celebrations. It was a pleasure for us to spend the day with the lovely couple and amazing family.
