Wedding photography and film at House for an Art Lover
House for an Art Lover is a unique weddings venue in Glasgow, set within Bellahouston Park and built from Charles Rennie Mackintosh's visionary designs.
House for an Art Lover brings Charles Rennie Mackintosh's designs to life in Glasgow's Bellahouston Park, all clean lines, art nouveau detail and parkland light. Stylish and distinctive, right up our street.
We are completely taken with what this place offers visually: those clean art nouveau lines, the considered detail in every surface, and the open parkland light that wraps around the building from every angle. It is the kind of venue where the architecture does so much of the work, giving couples a backdrop that is genuinely distinctive rather than generic. We have not filmed a wedding here yet, but it is absolutely one we would love to.
Getting to House for an Art Lover
The nearest train station is Dumbreck, just a short 10-minute walk from the venue. Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street are both nearby for those travelling from further afield, with regular services running throughout the day. Glasgow Airport is your closest option, roughly 20 minutes by car from House for an Art Lover. Edinburgh Airport is around an hour away if you're flying in from elsewhere in the UK. There is parking available on site, though spaces are limited so carpooling is a good idea if you can arrange it. For the evening, book your taxi home in advance. Local firms like Glasgow Taxis are reliable, but demand gets busy after events, so have a number saved before you arrive.
