We are completely taken with what this place represents as a backdrop for a wedding film: that combination of grand scale and intimate glamour is genuinely rare. Frequently asked questions about The Ned
What is it like to get married at The Ned?
Getting married at The Ned means celebrating in one of London's most atmospheric buildings, a former bank reimagined as a hotel with art deco grandeur at every turn. Marble pillars, rich architectural detail and a real sense of city energy give the venue a character that is hard to match. It is the kind of place where the building itself becomes part of the celebration.
How does the art deco interior at The Ned work for wedding photography and videography?
Art deco interiors like those at The Ned are a genuine gift for photography and film, offering strong geometric lines, ornate detail and the kind of layered light that comes with high ceilings and marble surfaces. The challenge and the opportunity with venues like this is working with the existing atmosphere rather than against it, letting the architecture do some of the storytelling. We love shooting in spaces with real character and The Ned has that in abundance.
Can we book Big Day Productions to photograph and film our wedding at The Ned?
Absolutely, we would love to be considered for a wedding at The Ned. It is firmly on our London wishlist and the kind of venue we are genuinely excited about. Get in touch to tell us about your plans and we can talk through how we work and whether we are the right fit for your day.
Is The Ned a good choice for couples who want a city wedding with a sense of occasion?
The Ned is a strong choice for couples who want a London wedding that feels both sophisticated and alive with energy. Its history as a bank gives it a grandeur that many modern venues simply cannot replicate, while its life as a hotel means the hospitality and atmosphere are very much of the moment. If you want a day that feels rooted in the city without sacrificing elegance, it makes a compelling case.
Where is The Ned and how easy is it for guests to get there?
The Ned sits in the heart of the City of London, one of the most connected parts of the capital, with multiple Underground lines and mainline rail stations within easy reach. For guests travelling from outside London, the city's transport links make it straightforward to reach by train or tube. Its central location also means there are plenty of accommodation options nearby for guests who want to make a night of it.
Does The Ned suit couples who want a relaxed documentary style of coverage rather than heavily posed photography?
A venue like The Ned, full of texture, movement and real atmosphere, lends itself beautifully to a documentary approach where the day unfolds naturally and the space becomes part of the story. We are drawn to that style of coverage ourselves and a building with this much character gives plenty to work with beyond the formal portraits. If you want photography and film that feels genuine rather than staged, it is well worth discussing how we approach that with you.
