Today, we are delighted to share the love story of Hannah and Evan, a couple who chose the enchanting Soughton Hall as the backdrop for their special day. This privately owned country house, with picturesque gardens, blends modern luxury and historic charm, setting the scene for a romantic wedding celebration. Built in the 18th century, it offers a unique blend of the past and the present. Therefore, as wedding photographers, we are always captivated by this venue’s stunning settings and endless photo opportunities.
The Fun Wedding Morning
On the wedding day, we arrived early to catch up with Hannah, who was getting ready in one of Soughton Hall’s bridal suites. She was in high spirits with her bridal party and mother around her. The room for bridal preparations was stunning and made an excellent photo backdrop. Hannah looked gorgeous in her off-shoulder, backless dress and paired it well with a beautiful tiara. At the same time, Evan looked confident in his bespoke dark green suit. One of the day’s main highlights was their little princess, and we ensured that we captured them as a family while they were gearing up for the big day.
Exquisite Settings for the Wedding Ceremony
Soughton Hall Wales is an exclusive wedding venue in Wales with impressive landscaped gardens and acres of land. It also has 15 individually designed rooms, giving it a boutique hotel feel.
The wedding celebration was in the drawing room of Soughton Hall Wales, which had distinctive blue and gold fabric lined across the walls. The painted ceiling with chandeliers complemented its look so well. Meanwhile, Evan was waiting for his gorgeous bride as the guests sat comfortably and waited for the ceremony to start. Shortly after, Hannah arrived glowing and looked so happy as she walked down the aisle with her father.
After the ceremony, the couple made their way to the confetti. While everyone hugged, chatted, and enjoyed their drinks, we took our chance to get some great portraits of the pair and a few shots with the family members. We used the incredible light at the venue, with large windows, artwork, and wood-panelled rooms, to create magnificent photos.
Our favourite romantic portraits were with the couple and their lovely daughter in the garden. But before we made our way towards the wedding reception, we were spoiled by the chance to create natural photos that were visually appealing.
The Iconic Wedding Celebration
Once Hannah and Evan entered the wedding reception, we photographed the heartfelt speeches shared by the friends and family members. During the speeches, there were a lot of emotions and happy tears that turned into amazing memories. Then, we sneaked out for a moment while everyone celebrated to capture stunning shots in the rain. Also, we captured some gorgeous, intimate shots while Hannah and Evan held the umbrella.
The evening was followed by cake cutting and the most awaited moment of the evening – the first dance. Hannah and Evan looked so much in love and full of happiness as they danced as newlyweds. We also loved the little children’s corner that kept the youngest guests engaged! Overall, the celebration continued with a wonderful spirit, with no guests sitting down and dancing all through the night.
